Born in Cologne, Christina Khosrowi studied voice\/music theatre at the Hochschule fu\u0308r Musik \u201eHanns Eisler\u201c in Berlin.<\/p>\n
She gave her opera debut while still being a student in may 2006 at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin as Flora in G. Verdi\u2019s \u201eLa Traviata\u201c under the baton of Paolo Arrivabeni.<\/p>\n
Subsequently she got engagements at Cologne Opera, Staatstheater Braunschweig, Opera Dortmund, Staatsoper Darmstadt, Opera Bremen, St. George\u2019s Hall in Liverpool, the Baltic Opera in Gdansk, singing roles like Trommler in V. Ullmann\u2019s \u201eThe Emperor of Atlantis\u201c, the Componist in R. Strauss\u2019 \u201eAriadne auf Naxos\u201c, Amastre in \u201eSerse\u201c by G. F. Handel, Candida in G. Donizetti\u2019s \u201eEmilia di Liverpool\u201c and Second and Third Lady in W. A. Mozart\u2019s \u201eThe Magic Flute\u201c
\n2009 she sang Smeton alongside Edita Gruberova in Donizetti\u2019s \u201eAnna Bolena\u201c at Cologne Opera, conducted by Ralf Weikert.<\/p>\n
In the following years she appeared on stage as Magdalene in R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eMeistersinger\u201c at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, as Maddalena in G. Verdi\u2019s \u201eRigoletto\u201c at the opera festival St. Margarethen (Vienna), as Saffi in J. Strauss\u2019 \u201eZigeunerbaron\u201c in Gent and Anvers, as Muse\/Nicklausse in J. Offenbach\u2019s \u201eHoffmanns Erz\u00e4hlungen\u201c at Staatstheater Darmstadt, als Rossweisse and Sieglinde in \u201eWalk\u00fcre\u201c by R. Wagner at the Opera of Cologne and Shanghai, as the title role in \u201eBoccaccio\u201c by F. v. Supp\u00e8 at the opera of Baden and as Annius in Mozart\u2019s \u201eTitus\u201c at Theatre Erfurt, working under the baton of conductors like Markus Stenz, Michael Sanderling, Alexander Joel und Enrico Delamboye.
\n2013 she gave her successful as Brang\u00e4ne in R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eTristan und Isolde\u201c at Staatstheater Meiningen, singing this role also in 2014 and 2015 and giving concerts with Lieder by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.<\/p>\n
Working with Marie McLaughlin (London) she started changing her repertoire to a soprano, and appeared as Siegline in a concert version of R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eDie Walk\u00fcre\u201c and in excerpts of R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eLohengrin\u201c and \u201eTristan and Isolde\u201c in Pau and Modica. In 2019 she sang the Soprano Solo of J. Brahms\u2019 \u201eEin deutsches Requiem\u201c in Cologne and Aix-la-Chapelle and gave recitals in Brussels and Zurich.<\/p>\n
In september 2019 she will appear in a concert with the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Harout Fazlian in Beirut with excerpts of R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eTristan und Isolde\u201c, R. Wagner\u2019s \u201eTannh\u00e4user\u201c and the Four Last Songs by R. Strauss.<\/p>\n
